I was born and raised here in the Santa Barbara area. I've been working locally in styling, event design, event management, store design, visual direction, floral design, and private and corporate event planning since 1995. In 2001, I founded my event production company Alegria by Design to offer my unique skill set of branding, planning and design.
Alegria by Design reflects my personal dedication to beauty, style, cultural diversity and most importantly, happiness. I carried the desire to create something of my own for quite some time; something that would meet my own personal standards for happiness. Alegria by Design has been an incredible forum to express myself creatively and share that freedom and joy with others. I sincerely believe that the unifying factor in the human experience is the desire to achieve happiness and love in our lives. And by sharing that with those around us, we teach and inspire. With each day, we have another opportunity for Alegria!

Born and raised in Santa Barbara with a degree in Art & Design, I founded Santa Barbara Elopement in 2012 to craft thoughtfully curated weddings rooted in intention and place. Event planning comes naturally—an intersection of creativity, logistics, and personal connection. My expertise spans planning, styling, project management, design, and photo shoot production, enabling me to tailor every detail to the unique vision of each couple. With over 25 years of experience in planning, I bring a refined yet effortless approach to every gathering, seamlessly blending design, production, and storytelling. My passion lies in creating personal, beautifully executed experiences that are unforgettable—moments to be cherished for a lifetime.
